Leeds City Square
We’re delighted to share our proposals for the redesign of Leeds City Square, created as part of a recent international design competition curated by the RIBA and Leeds City Council.
Leading a talented team including Leeds-based community design studio Split and award-winning landscape architects Fira, our design is centred upon introducing much-needed greenery to the city centre, and a mini ever-changing exhibition space to showcase the work of so many amazing venues, galleries and artists in Leeds
The main principle for the design is that the square should be a place to be curated with the people, not for them. It is a statement of intent from the city, that people come first, and all communities have a chance to be represented.
