Westmead shortlisted at the 2026 Housing Design Awards
We are thrilled to announce that Westmead has been shortlisted in the "Completed" category at the 2026 Housing Design Awards.
Recently completed in Westbourne Park, this project delivers 65 100% affordable certified AECB CarbonLite homes for Westminster City Council. We had the pleasure of sharing the scheme with the Housing Design Awards judging team and were incredibly grateful to have been welcomed into some of the residents homes. So wonderful to see how they have made it so warm and homely.
Sustainability & Performance
Westmead isn't just about capacity - it’s about quality. Informed by Passivhaus principles and achieving AECB CarbonLite certification, the design prioritises long-term energy reduction and resident comfort. Westmead provides an example of how low carbon sustainable homes can be delivered within the confines of local authority and budgetary requirements.
From the early design stages to the official ribbon-cutting with future residents and Council leadership, this project represents a massive collaborative effort including @willmottdixon @citywestminster Etude and @turkington_martin
