Sky Moore-Clube shortlisted in London Marathon 18-mile marker competition

Congratulations go to Sky Moore-Clube, an architectural assistant at CGL, who has received recognition for her recently shortlisted 18-mile marker design submission.

The initial competition, launched by the Stephen Lawrence Trust and supported by the London Marathon Events and Arena Group, saw Part 1 graduates invited to submit their concepts for an 18-mile marker at the 2019 London Marathon. The aim was to create a landmark gateway that would signpost the marathon’s 18th mile and also honour the memory of Stephen Lawrence, an aspiring architect who died at age 18 in 1993.

Named ‘The Unity Gateway’, Sky and her team worked hard to deliver a beautiful design that paid tribute to Stephen Lawrence, while featuring modern tiles which could be re-used and re-purposed, incorporating social media aspects, long after the event.
